COVID-19 and Management Systems
This is such an unprecedented event for all of us. Also, one that we may now want to add to a management system. Our Risks and Opportunities matrix will now have the possibility of the risk of a global pandemic. Our Objectives for health and safety this year will be about training on the risks and exposure as well as how to minimize employee and family risks.
during this flu and virus season.

ISO 45001 - Upgrade Now!
We were hoping to upgrade your management systems with R2 v3 and ISO 45001 at the same time, however due to delays with R2 v3, we are recommending you upgrade your management system with ISO 45001 now and here’s why –
All OHSAS 18001 certificates will expire on 3-12-21. Therefore any CB transition audit to 45001 will most likely need to be completed by December 2020 in order to have time for review and processing. If your CB audit is in Jan – March of 2020, you could still have your audit to 18001, but would need another audit by December 2020.
To prevent a second audit in less than a year, we recommend any CB audit January 2020 or later be to ISO 45001.
