Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements
Here is what is happening to the federal EPA HW Generator requirements. However, check with your state too.
For example – see what Michigan is doing?
New Hazardous Waste Rules Effective August 3, 2020, finalized a requirement for all small quantity generators (SQGs) of hazardous waste to re-notify Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) of their hazardous waste activities every four years. The purpose of the re-notification requirement is to improve the SQG universe data and to maintain more accurate data into the future for outreach, compliance assistance, and oversight activities.
To remain in compliance with the re-notification requirement, SQGs need to update their information by completing and submitting the Michigan Site Identification (EQP 5150) form in full.
The first re-notification is due by no later than September 1, 2021, and then every four years after that.

Remote Internal Audit Protocols for COVID-19
Greeneye Partners have created a remote protocol for our internal audits to meet the requirements of the IAF MD4:2018. We’re very confident our internal audits are thorough and it has been nice to not worry about travel for our auditors or transmitting COVID to our clients. As more clients report positive cases in their facilities we want to remind everyone to consider reducing outside visitors.
E-Reuse Conference, Nov. 16th-18th:
We have been sponsors and supporters of the E-Reuse Conference since it’s inception. As many of you know one of our auditors Sarah Kim, plans the annual E-Reuse Conference. This year, like everything else, it looks a little different, but we were excited to learn there is a FREE virtual registration option available for ERC 2020.
If you are interested in learning more about the reuse industry and networking with the best of the best, you should plan to attend. Click HERE for more information about ERC 2020.
